OVERVIEW: Provides leadership and overall clinical, operational and fiscal oversight for AMI housing services in Brooklyn and Far Rockaway. Provides supervision to program director(s) and administrative supervisor(s). Responsible for developing new programs and beds, ensuring goals and new initiatives are achieved and continually improving services and outcomes. Maintains and develops relationships with external stakeholders and partners; participates with internal and external committees.

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  1. Ensures overall clinical, operational and fiscal oversight for assigned programs
  2. Supervises program director(s) and administrative supervisor(s) who have primary responsibility for programs
  3. Assists programs in utilizing established, effective interventions to achieve defined, meaningful outcomes
  4. Provides leadership and vision to assist programs in achieving goals, continually improving performance and meeting challenges proactively and effectively
  5. Ensures that programmatic systems are in place to meet all resident safety and service needs
  6. Ensures that physical facilities/sites meet appropriate safety and aesthetic standards
  7. Ensures appropriate training and supervision is provided to all staff; develops and provides training
  8. Responds to opportunities to expand services; prepares RFPs, PARs, and grant applications
  9. Develops and implements new programs, projects and initiatives
  10. Ensures collaboration with landlords and real estate agents is appropriate and on-going; works closely with JBFCS Facilities Department
  11. Ensures relationships with partners and community representatives/groups are established, developed and maintained
  12. Ensures compliance with internal and external policies, procedures and regulations
  13. Ensures development and adherence to program budgets and maintains programs’ fiscal viability
  14. Collaborates with directors to solve problems/issues
  15. Utilizes data to inform planning, service delivery and overall management
  16. Participates in agency and external committees and initiatives
  17. Participates in external committees and coalitions
  18. Available and on-call to assist in managing and responding to urgent situations
  19. Works collaboratively with assigned executive administrator
  20. Extensive travel within New York City
  21. Performs other duties, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s Degree in related field; professional licensure, if appropriate. Minimum five years supervisory/managerial experience. Experience working with adults living with mental illness and/or residential services is preferred. Knowledge of EBPs and community services. Requires proven skills in administration, verbal and written communication, CPI, computer applications, collection and use of data, inter-personal relationships, and staff supervision and training.
