Position Overview:

The TRAC Bilingual Clinician for the TRAC Shelter, under close supervision of the Lead Clinician, is responsible for: Conducting a mental health assessment for all unaccompanied children (UC) in the TRAC Program, to enhance the optimal emotional well-being of each child; identify and treat UC with mental health symptoms and provide crisis intervention. Provide ongoing individual and group psychotherapy. Develop Individual Service Plans (ISP) and 30 day Reviews and Updates. Provide clinical input in order to ensure that each child is receiving the most appropriate individual and group supervision. Participate in Weekly Rounds Meetings to formulate mental health treatment plans.

Position Qualifications:

Must have a Master of Social Work degree (MSW) and two years of post-graduate direct clinical service experience; a Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling or other relevant behavioral science in which clinical training and experience is a program requirement. It is strongly encouraged that Clinician be licensed or licensed eligible in New York State. Excellent oral and written skills. Proficient computer skills. Ability to manage and promote a therapeutic environment, taking into account the varying clinical needs of each child. Fluent in English and Spanish. ____________________________________________________________________
